I met Madi when we were kids having attended the same Christian sports camp together! We later were reunited when we both returned to work at that very same camp as counselors, where we worked with girls ages 8-18. I saw Madi care for her campers so well, changing lives through intentional conversations and being such an incredible example of faith herself! She also had SO much patience when paired with the little ones. When it comes to consoling crying 8 year old girls through cabin drama, problems at home, or accepting Christ for the first time- Madi is the best it gets.

Between summers, Madi met Nick at Duke University through their campus ministry Cru. They share their love of being outdoors, eating ice cream, working hard in whatever they do, Jesus, and of course, Oreos. They were super prayerful about their whole relationship and finally decided it was time to get married!! They actually worked through a series of questions to help them prepare-
check out the list of these questions in this article by Desiring God!

When I asked Madi about her priorities about her wedding, she said two things- 1. Getting married! And 2. That her guests feel happy and loved. Both of those things were a success, and the guests definitely showed it on the dance floor!!

Their whole wedding day was absolutely lovely. Curtis and I felt so so honored to be the ones capturing it!! Congrats again, Madi and Nick!!! We wish you the best on the West Coast!!

For this next photo, when I asked Curtis (my husband/second shooter) what was going on here, apparently one of the groomsmen suggested pretending like they were about to bow after being in a play… 😂😂😂
