A Sunny Wedding with a View at Walker Creek Barn

If I were to narrow down my favorite thing about Jordann and Nate’s wedding, it would absolutely be the people there. I only met the couple at their engagement shoot and was referred to them by their friend/videographer Misganaw of Mengiste Productions (who is awesome to work with!). Not only are Jordann and Nate incredible, fun-loving people, but their wedding party and guests were super fun and down to earth, and they sure knew how to celebrate. They didn’t save dancing for the reception, but busted out moves all day (the groom’s suite was BUMPIN). I felt totally at home with the bridesmaids, who clearly loved Jordann and supported her so well even though none of them had been married before. I didn’t going to Virginia Tech myself, but I swear there’s something special about Hokie weddings haha! They are always so much fun!
I also couldn’t help but LOVE Jordann’s aesthetic, especially the way the wedding party looked together. A flowy wedding dress with horsehair trim for the bride, dark blue suits, and a pink color scheme for the bridesmaids… literally perfection. While Jordann was getting ready, she mentioned to me that the look might be familiar from my own wedding!! She adorably stalked my own wedding pictures while planning hers haha! But for real, look at the the bridal party photos in this blog post. Paired with the gorgeous mountain backdrop at Walker Creek Barn, the pictures speak for themselves!
Jordann and Nate opted to do a first look to spend more time with their guests and get some alone time before the ceremony. Curtis  (my husband and assistant) and Misganaw (the videographer) took Nate into the trees for the first look so that the couple could have some privacy during this moment. Right after Nate saw his bride, they fell into the sweetest hug, and Jordann said “Wow, I feel so much better now.” They are clearly best friends, so I’m so glad they chose to do a first look so they could spend more of their wedding day together!
Jordann and Nate, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your amazing day!! God bless you both as you enjoy your lives together!
